A Gift that Keeps on Giving

Giving the perfect gift comes with pressure. You have to think about and consider the recipient's tastes and likes, then select something which will best embody those criteria.

We previously talked about the power of gift-giving here: How to Properly Give Gifts

Someone probably went through all those mental calculations in order to select a great gift for you! You want to close the loop on that interaction and let them know they did a great job.

In step-by-step form below, here's how to make the most of your gift!

Step 1: Receive gift. Very self-explanatory, may be more common during holiday season or anniversaries. If so, try this idea out during those times!

Step 2: Take a picture of yourself using/wearing the gift. Be authentic! If you got a piece of clothing or a sports shirt, show yourself using it! Maybe someone got you a shirt with your favorite NBA team (Go Knicks!)

If you got something consumable, you can get a picture of yourself using the gift. If it's food, no need to make a mess and show a picture of yourself eating. Here's one way I took a picture of something consumable:

Step 3: Send and share that picture to the person who sent you the gift.

Close the loop and let them know that you appreciate the time and effort they spent in sending you the gift!
